G.O.O.D. Music’s HXLT Set To Release Debut Album, Throws Genres Out The Window

Kanye West’s label Getting Out Our Dreams (G.O.O.D. Music) is known for bringing in diverse talent to create a label that gives us hardcore rap (Pusha T) to R&B (Teyana Taylor), but now it will give us a new sound we’ve never heard before. Chicago artist HXLT gives us a mix of Kid Cudi, early 2000’s alternative, over a hip-hop type beat. It’s so much goodness in one art form. It’s such a surprise HXLT has yet to gain notoriety, but now he is set to release his self-titled debut album under the G.O.O.D. Music label on February 26th.

With just days away from his release, it might be time you catch up on the artist that could revolutionize multiple genres. HXLT takes the word “genre” and ultimately tosses it out the window by combining multiple influences to create something new and special, and is in position to reach listen across many different tastes. It’s only time before HXLT takes over as one of G.O.O.D. Music’s prime artist and main money maker.

It’ll also be interesting to see whether the relatively new signee will make appearances on projects of his fellow label-mates. Mr. Hudson, Kacy Hill, Big Sean, and even the label’s newest signee, Desiigner, who is behind the track “Panda” could all be interesting partners for HXLT’s interesting style. With his album releasing soon and being signed under a major record label, the future is very bright for HXLT. Pioneering a distinct music style is never an easy task, but HXLT is in the perfect position to shape up the music world and the way mainstream music is formed.

Alternatives of any genre still seem prime to creep towards traditional genres, and HXLT could lead the way through the prominence of the record label he’s signed to.
